Motivational Tool for Physical Education

Flixx is a device, which guides students of all athletic levels to enjoy participating in PE. It motivates them, in a fun way, to move and it leads the students to a healthier lifestyle. Flixx measures the students’ body heat. The received data is visually translated into “energy points”. The more active a student participates in class, the more energy points they score. Seeing the progress while sporting engages them in the activity and gives the less athletic kids a slight advantage since their body heat rises faster.

The heat sensor used, is not accurate and fast enough to detect small changes of body heat. Furthermore, the material used for the prototype is not sports class proof yet, since it is mostly made of MDF.
