Met Nut

De uitdaging

Does your bag fit your belongings? Your MacBook may fit perfectly, that does not leave any space for your beloved Lucid mug. If it was up to you, you would even add a secret compartment for your Pokémon cards.

But for us, stylish young professionals, handmade bags are simply unaffordable. If only there was a way to combine craftsmanship with efficiency.

De oplossing

Well... now there is. Thanks to our unique web-based design tool you can create the bag you have always dreamt of. Indicate what you carry around in your bag every day and which belongings need their own custom-sized pocket. Rearrange the pockets to your liking – should your water bottle be on the left or right? Should your wallet be easy to grab or hidden away? You sort out the inside, we take care of the rest. Once your design is finished, it is automatically turned into a pattern and sent to a laser cutter. It is then assembled locally and, within days, delivered to your doorstep. “Met Nut” bags – meaning “with use” in Dutch – are made from the fashion industry’s leftover materials, making our bags waste reducing. We allow you to be fashionable and comfortable, all while supporting local businesses and protecting the environment. Go to our website – coma.studio – and design your own bag today.

Nice idea, nice website. Do you already have your supply chain up and running?

What is your target group, only stylish young professionals? I think if it's going to be so affordable other target groups might also be interesting.... And how scalable is your idea? Because now you rely on leftovers...

Leuk idee. Misschien dat je het re-use van materialen op de een of andere manier in logo of design moet laten terugkomen. Ik denk dat het daardoor een brede groep kan bereiken

Your idea fits very well in a sustainable, demand-driven future fashion world! Did you think about pattern & finishing optimizations to reduce manual labour? Also, how are you going to help customers see if their pocket-design is usable and convenient?
