Reminding people with depression to positive thinking and mentally supportive exercises
For my project, I am working in collaboration with GGZe in Eindhoven to make an app-connected wearable that can help people with depression throughout rough times. In practice every client at GGZe has its own personalized therapy because of the uniqueness of one’s identity and problems. There is not one universal method and thereby the tool will be personalizable so that it can support each client during the therapy through its own way.
A strong motivator for the clients is to relive memories or even focus on future positive experiences in order to get a more positive mindset. The importance of this motivator differs for each client, but the eventual product will allow the client to set these positive experiences and be reminded of it on a regular basis in order to stimulate positive thinking. Adding up to this, the tool will also remind the client to perform mentally supportive exercises in order to increase the effectiviness of the therapy.
Could be very helpful if you are able to recognise the mood, and translate it into a proper intervention. But then it could benefit a broader target group as well, and not only depressed people but also stressed people

The app is purely to link other recovered positive experiences to new physical effects, and these physical effects will be fully catered to the preferences of the patient in order to increase efficiency.

These positive experiences will then be linked to a certain physical effect that is chosen in the app, this to start the conditioning process.

Patentability depends on its implementation. Is it a mere time activated facility that generates reminders at predetermined points in time, or does it recognize biometric signals or other specific input for its control?
