SEM Techtronics: Smart Multi-Adapters for EMobility

The challenge

E-Vehicles are increasing all around the Europe, but charging infrastructure is expensive and insufficient w.r.t the number of vehicles, So It becomes inconvenience everywhere in Europe for the EV users to charge in a private or public parking, We identified an opportunity here: to tackle this problem we created a smart automatic multi-charging adapter that charges multiple vehicles without manual interventions. To make it smart we used the grid & vehicle data to charge the vehicle in an optimised way. Our product efficiently uses the available charging stations and as well as the grid.

Current solutions just focus on charging the vehicle which doesn't use the charging station and the grid efficiently. but SMA has a switching mechanism that works with a smart controller programmed to switch between one vehicle to another based on the battery capacity, range, grid demands and user requirements.

The solution

the product is designed to charge vehicles without manual interference where it also monitors the grids. this is a plug and forget technology where all the actions from charging to switching are done autonomously. We target the public and private companies and institutions to implement our product that can make charging convenient, infrastructure cheaper and makes the grid more efficient.

Could be patentable. However, more details are needed. Also solutions for the problem as noted by maurice vlek could be patentable.

The video is not accessible. Who do you see as your potential customers? In public charging a card (laadpas) is needed to identify yourself. Would this still work with your solution?
