Faster Market

The challenge

Nowadays, shopping in supermarkets costs people a lot of time. For example, people have to wait in a long line for making payments especially in peak time. But time is fixed for everybody, it is needed to optimize time usage on shopping. On the other hand, the current supermarkets do not have enough product variety that cannot fulfill the customer’s demands.

There are two main solutions for above problems. The first one is paying by bank card which doesn't speed up too much for payment. Another solution is shopping online and delivering to house or picking up at store. This solution helps to the products variety problem. But it doesn’t solve the time problem properly because products can only be delivered or collected after at least one day. Besides, additional delivery fees will be charged which may stop people shopping online.

The solution

Shopping in the Faster Market, you don't need to wait in a line anymore, you don't need to waste time to look for your products. Here, you don't need to pay delivery fee. Just shop online and pick up at store when never you want. The biggest advantage is that shopping in the Faster Market is super time-saving and flexible. Customers can do shopping at anytime. The payment could be made in a few seconds. The customers can get their products in a few minutes without any additional charging. There will be no real store anymore. The traditional stores will be replaced by high technology warehouses which are also pick up points. Customers could pick up their orders at nearest pick up point in 15 minutes after making order. Furthermore, all products in Faster Market can be picked up at any pick up point. However, the current supermarkets have different size and provides different products.

Saving time is always a good buying point but how are you going to do that? You need to redesign the complete logistic chain of the retail market. That needs a lot of investment.

I also miss some specifics on the idea, and what the solution is, but i recognise the pain. I would like to discuss the idea with you since i have a strong background in retail and technology, and i am happy to help

I highly recommend to make a good businesscase about your idea including a benchmark. Take an example of coolblue who combine online and offline, or deliveroo who focus on food...

I lack details on this idea, how do you plan to achieve this? Is it still a brick store or direct delivery?
